The line about war not being history to the people living through it, but simply their “today,” really stayed with me. It makes the distance of 81 years feel much smaller when you remember that each person was living an ordinary life, making plans, loving people, and expecting a future.

ゆかりっくさん、おはようございます🌷昨日は旅先でこちらの記事を読み、のほほんと楽しんでいる今がいかに奇跡かとあらためて考えていました。戦争で起きたことを風化させないことだけでなく、平和ってなんだろうと思いを馳せること、気付かせてくれてありがとうございます🍀何気ない毎日がどんなに幸せなことかは日々考えていますが、その土台にいろんな方の力が働いていることを忘れずにいたいと思います😌
